Customer Support Technician

Advantage Tech is searching for a Customer Support Technician (Tier 1) to work with a fast growing start-up company in the Kansas City Metro Area.

We're looking for exceptional people to join our dedicated team of Customer Support and Product Advocates. We are focused on providing our customers with the services and support they need to be successful and help to ensure their fellow workers go home safe each day.

We want people who can use their passion for technology and our products to get to the heart of our customer inquiries and propose solutions that will continually improve the customer experience, while optimizing ways of working.

What you'll do:

Really listen to our customers and help them out.

  • Investigate, triage and resolve customer inquiries through a number of different channels – phone, live chat and support tickets
  • Monitor and analyse feedback and trends
  • Identify bugs (they do happen, even in the best software!), provide solutions and work together with our technical teams to resolve theme
  • Log your calls and support requests into our systems
  • Improve processes through building support tools
  • Contributing to our Support articles for our products
  • Identify leads and work with our Customer Success Team to grow our customer base

What we are looking for:

  • Highly motivated and hardworking with ability to think clearly under pressure
  • Ability to rapidly assess, analyse and resolve complex issues, and distill into simple and concise communication
  • Equivalent industry experience – ideally with a few years of customer and/or technical support experience in the software sector
  • Typical candidates have a BS degree in a computer related field
  • A consumer of apps and mobile technology
  • Strong written and verbal skills – communication is king
  • Fluency in English, a second language is preferred
  • Ideally experience with Intercom or Salesforce
