Global Product Manager

Advantage Tech is searching for a Global Product Manager that can work for their client out of Blue Springs, MO

Job Summary:

A Global Product Manager is responsible for the oversight of all global product management activities related to their product line, while directly managing regional product management teams for their product line.

The Global Product Manager is accountable for providing overall management and business leadership for multiple product life cycles and ensuring objectives are met.  May or may not have direct report responsibilities. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Lead a team of regional product managers and product specialists by providing tools, guidance, and oversight, allowing the team to fully manage the life cycle of the product line. This includes:
  • Discovery & Innovation
  • New Product Planning
  • New Product Introduction
  • Post-Launch Product Management
  1. Oversee the product line in order to ensure consistency and/or appropriate regional specific adjustments to a product within the marketplace.
  2. Manage the revenue and profitability growth of the entire product portfolio. This will include not only a local view, but also a global approach to ensure all products are meeting or exceeding expectations.
  3. Provide oversight to all Regional Product Management teams to ensure all activities are being completed to launch and manage products successfully within each region.
  4. Lead the global strategic planning process, while also driving the creation of detailed product roadmaps for the product line.
  5. Provide regular dashboards and communication to management teams detailing the product lines current status within the marketplace.
  6. Provide guidance and decision-making on all business cases, and ensure that they are properly prepared for executive team presentation and approval.
  7. Monitor cross-functional teamwork, across the product line in accordance with the overall portfolio strategies, goals and objectives.
  8. Ensure that all promotional, launch, and marketing activities tie with the overall global portfolio strategy and facilitate proper communication and collaboration with all applicable marketing resources.
  9. Manage all business oversight for the overall product line, and establish appropriate metrics and key performance indicators to ensure that the product line revenue and profitability growth is in line with strategic and company objectives.
  10. Maintains confidentiality of all information processed.

Performs related duties as assigned.  Regular and consistent attendance is required.

Job Qualifications:

Required: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.  7+ years experience in a Product Management or business leadership function. Proven experience working in and leading cross-functional teams. The ability to understand, analyze, and manage a P&L for multiple products, across the globe. Proven experience in using data and market knowledge to drive product line strategy.

Strong business and financial acumen. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills. Proficient computer skills. The ability to travel both domestically and internationally as required.

Preferred: Master’s degree in related technical field or an MBA.
