Product Manager

Advantage Tech has a product manager opening with a growing Kansas City company. 


The Product Manager is responsible for the strategy, roadmap, and feature definition of a product or product line. This role involves working with cross-functional teams and may include marketing, forecasting, competitive analysis and content creation responsibilities.


What You’ll Do:

The Product Manager will be responsible for product life-cycle and road map related to our client’s mobile applications for customer-facing applications that could include Field Service, Field Sales, Route Sales, Direct Store Delivery, and or Merchandising applications or other applications as assigned. 


Here’s a closer look at your primary responsibilities:

  • Identifying industry’s needs for our client’s Customer Facing applications.  
  • Build and maintain road map and current status for near-term releases for assigned applications utilizing AHA for status updates.
  • Understanding, communicating & documenting requirements of assigned applications working with various cross functional teams from Solution Engineers, Product Development and Sales. 
  • Work with Market Managers to define applications market and viability as an offering. 
  • Assist in detailed design of the applications.
  • Assist in training our client’s resources on the applications. 
  • Assist in creating marketing content related to new or updated applications. 
  • Assist in sales presentations related to new or updated applications.
  • Assist Services / Development teams as needed on new customer installs of new applications or updated applications.
  • Assist sales teams with discovery and solution applicability in net new sales cycles as required.
  • Assist with competitive analysis for similar products in the industry. 
  • Assist with creation of playbooks or sales strategies and likely customer profiles.
  • Be the company Internal Product Champion and expert.

You Have:

  • Current and broad ecosystem and solution knowledge and understand the business needs for one or more of the assigned applications. This can be as a user or past product management experience within the product domains of customer-facing applications such as field service, field sales, Route Sales, Merchandising applications. 
  • Ability to effectively articulate business requirements and technical ideas to business analysts and developers. Ability to define features in a business context and then related that to development so they can deliver to an expectation. 
  • Good written and verbal communications skills.
  • The ability to do presentations in front of sometimes audiences of 50 or more.
