Reporting Manager

Advantage Tech is searching for a candidate at the top of their field in Data & Reporting, for a Manager role with their client based out of Kansas City, Mo.

In this exciting leadership position, the Manager of Reporting leads a team of analytic/reporting professionals to deliver information solutions with first class customer service to both internal and external business stakeholders.

They will be involved in and responsible for the analysis, development, and support related to complex reporting needs that may require research to comprehend all aspects of the issue. You will be expected to independently analyze information as requested by leadership and give cogent, useful and insightful advice.

Your responsibilities will include oversight and direction of analyses and documentation of the team undertaken to assess program expansion and new program developments. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Attract, retain, develop and mentor a highly trained analytic and reporting staff; 
• Assess business needs and develop analytic solutions to meet those needs; 
• Collaborate with internal management staff, customers and regulatory groups to identify problems and design effective solutions using the company’s information resources. 
• Research data availability for a project, estimate time required to satisfy a request and proactively communicate to the requesting team. 
• Develop an analysis plan and analyze data either independently or in a group setting as required. 
• Lead the reporting team in the development of studies to assess program opportunities and program performance; 
• Manage multiple significant initiatives and prioritized efforts; 
• Collaborate with business partners across the clients, Clinical Operations, Information Technology, Product Development, Account Management, Networking and Sales; 
• Communicate results to business partners thru static or dynamic reports, visualizations, presentations, and written correspondence. 
• Assign work to team members. Manage resources while meeting deadlines within budget. 
• Identify and document changes to the company’s IT and data systems required to advance the analytics process. 
• Perform project management tasks to ensure that goals and deadlines are met. 
• Actively participate in technical training as required to meet job requirements. 
• Schedule and evaluate staff; 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Technology, Mathematics Statistics or other relevant field or other experience/training commensurate for the role. 
• Applicable healthcare experience from the provider or payer fields 
• Proven experience supervising or mentoring co-workers, and ability to coach and mentor staff. 
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical materials and financial data. 
• Must be able to present information in a large group setting with internal and external customers accurately and concisely. 
• Ability to perform complex arithmetic and intermediate algebra required to develop advanced analysis of clinical and operational information. 
• Create reports, using advanced graphical skills that can be quickly understood by the customer. 
• Advanced MS Excel experience including ability to use a variety of Excel functions such as: VLOOKUP, ROUND, SUBTOTAL and SUMPRODUCT 
• Ability to use MS Word and MS PowerPoint to convey results to customers and internal staff. 
• Intermediate/Advanced proficiency in SQL or other data retrieval tool. 
• 3-5 years of experience using a BI Tool such as Tableau, Cognos, Clickview 
• Should have 8+ years of relevant reporting experience 
• Ability to identify and define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions. 
• Demonstrates ability to manage multiple large projects in a changing environment 
• Capacity to actively manage and deliver on client expectations around project activities, timelines, deliverables, outcomes, budget, etc. 
• Ability to provide targeted communication, both verbal and written, to internal and external constituents. 
• Proven analytical and process redesign skills, including problem-solving, quantitative reasoning, workflow process, etc. 
• Skill in working with a diverse group of professionals and personalities in a team environment. 

PREFERRED:

• Master’s degree in a relevant discipline 
Business Conduct, and Compliance Program.
