Scrum Master

Advantage Tech is searching for a qualified Scrum Master, to join their client's team in Kansas City, MO

Role and Responsibilities:

To participate in the research and analysis of system application needs and problems for users and also gathering requirements for new project requests; to provide assistance, advice, problem solving, and technical information to customers regarding the use of software/web applications; and act as liaison with customers regarding the status of their requests.

Employees in this class receive direct supervision from the IT development manager within a framework of standard policies and procedures. The Scrum Master would ensure that the project is well documented, managed with the development team, and delivered on time using the SCRUM project management methodology.


  • Follow the SDLC/ALM process working in accordance and smoothly with the rest of the team when working on new projects and production issues. Scrum Master coordination for development on multiple ongoing projects.


  • Use of Team Foundation Server to follow the SDLC (Software development Life Cycle) team process when handing production issues and new projects.


  • Conducts research and analysis using healthcare/user data and basic SQL as requested by supervisors and leaders


  • Uses T-SQL language to query databases to research new and existing issues and aid in implementation of projects as needed.


  • Actively participates in the testing and implementation of new systems


  • Assist in the creation of the system design and functional specifications for all new development projects.


  • Confers with programming staff regarding program changes and problems


  • Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new IT software projects and initiatives to support and enhance our existing systems.


  • Identify opportunities that can improve efficiency of business processes.


  • Provides in servicing sessions for users in the operation system applications, and software products when determining requirements for projects.


  • Assists in the development of course modules and training materials to train end-users in the use of complex integrated software applications; uses software such as Snag-It to create user guides.


  • Troubleshoot technical issues and identify modifications needed in existing applications to meet changing user requirements.


  • Develops written communication and documentation for users and for internal use


  • Establishes and maintains cooperative and supportive relationships with customers
  • Use of Microsoft suite of products




  • Four years of college/Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Should have a minimum of 2 years hands-on Scrum Master roles in the field and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Good working knowledge skills with Microsoft Office products.
  • Good working knowledge of the SCRUM process.
  • Relevant work experience dealing with production issues and debugging issues.
  • Relevant work experience using Team Foundation Server or a similar suite of apps to work in the project pipeline process.
  • Willingness to work occasionally outside of normal business hours.
