Web Application Solutions Architect:

Mid-Senior Level


This position is responsible for defining the overall architecture/structure of an application or system.  Person will be responsible for the design of the overall architecture of the web applications and evolve them to ensure maximum performance and stability.  The solution architect will serve as the project manager, overseeing IT assignments that are aimed at improving the business, and ensuring all parts of the project run smoothly.  The Solutions Architect will provide conversion of requirements into an architecture and design that will become the blueprint for the solution being created. The Solutions Architect is accountable for the design, development and execution of the solution framework.


Selected candidate will:

  • Be a member of a team of professionals configuring/developing web-based applications.
  • Be responsible for transforming the requirements, from the requirements phase, into a set of architecture and design documents that are used by the development team to create the solution.
  • Break down large scale projects into manageable chunks
  • be responsible for identifying technologies to fit the problem being solved and to set standards and define frameworks
  • Establishes the architectural frameworks that enable the technological solution to best meet the identified business needs.
  • Provides technical leadership and expertise on architecture planning, processes and standards, system development methodologies, key business initiatives / issues, IT implications for systems or technologies and their impact on the solutions.
  • Work with designers and developers on what's required and oversee the progress
  • Track and report development progress of the project against key milestones.
  • Provide architectural guidance to the project team
  • Explain technical issues and IT solution strategies to stakeholders and other team members
  • Ensure that solution architecture (software and programs) designed are in sync with business needs and hardware
  • Identify and mitigate existing business risk or risks associated with solution architecture.
  • Work closely with the SME’s and Business Analysts to decompose business requirements into a technical solution (Technology, performance, Redundancy, Security)
  • Stay aware of emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities
  • Assist in the evaluation of new software applications/tools.
  • Performs other related duties as required.




 Educational Level:        BS or equivalent experience -Computer Science, Engineering Technology or

                                    Technical Related Degree or experience

# Of Years’ Experience:  8+ years of experience in Web Application Architecture/Development



  • Experience on multiple hardware and software environments with technical expertise across multiple domains
  • Proven record of successful delivery of technical solution architectures
  • Ability to  apply architectural methods to business challenges
  • Must be an analytical thinker. A solution architect must be able to understand the need of stakeholders and users and cater for such needs.
  • Work well with technical groups
  • Excellent Communication and teaming skills: The position involves collaboration with software designers, developers, business analysts, management and SME’s.
  • Detail oriented
  • Good project management skills
  • Solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
  • Knowledge/experience in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks and tools.   Candidate will provide applications design, development, programming and support of web based software ap
  • Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.


Preferred SKILLS:

  • Familiar with source control and build automation tools
  • Agile development experience
  • Familiar with test frameworks for Unit testing
  • Microsoft Internet Information Server
  • Knowledge Stored Procedures, write complex SQL queries, and ability to analyze the SQLdata
  • Knowledge with SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, and/or SQL Server Integration
