Sr. Application Developer

Advantage Tech is searching for a qualified Sr. Application Developer to join their clients technology group, based out of Kansas City, MO

Job Responsibilities: 

The Senior Application Developer will also be responsible for coding and developing bleeding edge application interfaces using C#/VB.NET and Visual Studio in a .NET environment. 


• Follow the SDLC/ALM process working in accordance and smoothly with the rest of the team when working on new projects and production issues. Ability to work under ScrumMaster coordination for development on multiple ongoing projects. 
• Use of Team Foundation Server to follow the SDLC (Software development Life Cycle) team process when handing production issues and new projects. 
• Use of ADO.NET and SOA technologies including WebAPI and WCF Services. 
• Experience with modern and/or legacy development methods that may include Windows Forms, ASP.NET Web Forms, ASP.NET MVC. 
• Proven track record of delivering quality, mission-critical, enterprise solutions 
• Uses T-SQL language to query databases to research new and existing issues and aid in implementation of projects as needed. 
• Actively participates in the testing and implementation of new systems 
• Assist in the creation of the system design and functional specifications for all new development projects. 
• Confers with programming staff regarding program changes and problems 
• Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new IT software projects and initiatives to support and enhance our existing systems. 
• Identify opportunities that can improve efficiency of business processes. 
• Troubleshoot technical issues and identify modifications needed in existing applications to meet changing user requirements. 
• Establishes and maintains cooperative and supportive relationships with customers 
• Adheres to New Directions Behavioral Health Mission Statement, Core Values, Code of Business Conduct, and Compliance Program. 
• Complies with all Federal and applicable State laws and New Directions Behavioral Health Policies regarding, privacy, confidentiality, and security of health information, and other designated information. 



• Four years of college/Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience 
• Should have a minimum of 10 years of technology experience with at least 7 years hands-on technical roles in the field and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. 
• Technical experience with systems networking, databases, Web development and user support. 
• Good working knowledge skills with Microsoft Office products. 
• Good working knowledge of the SCRUM process. 
• Relevant work experience dealing with production issues and debugging issues. 
• Relevant work experience using Team Foundation Server or a similar suite of apps to work in the project pipeline process. 
• Use of Transact SQL to query data 
• Willingness to work occasionally outside of normal business hours. 
• Expertise in the C#/VB.NET programming language
