Sr Production Control Analyst

Advantage Tech is looking for a Senior Production Control Analyst for our Client in Lee’s Summit.  This person will lead the technical design and configuration of the enterprise scheduling systems for production systems in the Production Control area.    Establishes technical methods, integrate and configure advanced operational processes to support schedules within our production and non-production environment under the direction of the Command Center Technical Solutions Lead.  Responsible for production and non-production requirements for critical paths, error resolution and delays.  Handles application level issues and provides appropriate solutions to maintain stability and availability within our infrastructure.  Maintains technical methods knowledge base for batch and implementation procedures, rules and changes to environment. Reports to the Command Center Technical Solutions Lead.


Duties and Responsibilities


  • Designs and configures enterprise scheduling systems and operational processes to support all environments. Maintains enterprise scheduling application version and service pack levels, including appropriate implementation, testing and quality of systems.  Analyzes problems and recommends solutions.


  • Implements technical processes, procedures and custom interfaces to support the Command Center.  These responsibilities include the technical design, coding and implementation of custom processes and interfaces for operational and production processing.


  • Maintains implementation of production batch procedures, integration to programs and Technical Standards Knowledge Base. Reviews all procedures to ensure that they conform to the existing GEHA standards.


  • Evaluates additions, revisions, and deletions to batch processing integration with technical methods. Anticipates impact of errors and changes on batch processing schedules. Provides early warning to MIS staff and clients.  


  • Attends and actively participates in weekly Change Control Meetings with all IT departments and reports activities relating to changes in Production Control.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities


  • Requires four year degree in computer science, business administration or related field.  Additional years of qualifying work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education


  • Requires three years of technical or production control experience in a technical distributed operating environment. 


  • Requires experience in working with production applications and scheduling systems, thorough knowledge of Windows 7/XP server administration, Visual Basic, PowerShell, XML, SQL, FTP/SFTP and a strong knowledge of Windows batch scripting procedures. 
  • Requires effective verbal, written and professional communication skills to exchange information and provide technical expertise.
