Audio/Visual Support Specialist

Job Summary:

 

A client in the Denver area’s IT Division is currently seeking candidates for an Audio Visual Support Specialist to support and maintain audio visual technologies throughout the Tenth District for internal customers and external guests. Primarily engaged with the technical support and development of production systems from concept to completion.

 

Key Activities:

 

  • Participates in audio-visual projects and upgrades by managing customer/vendor relationship; maintaining equipment; monitoring inventory; designing, installing, and programming equipment; and delegating as necessary.
  • Perform moderate to complex technical programming of industry equipment to integrate into new and existing equipment and technical systems, to include modifying existing vendor code and/or writing new code.
  • Drafts technical schematics and design elements for audio-visual equipment. 
  • Builds and installs audio-visual and video conference equipment based on senior level staff designs. 
  • Manages and supports installed audio-visual and video conference equipment by changing settings, positioning, inventory acquisition and/or replacement, etc. 
  • Identifies potential new equipment and begins to consider implications and applications within the organization. 
  • Participates in audio-video solutions in a timely, cost efficient manner. 
  • Provides basic consultative services to business lines for event planning (e.g. determining needs to accomplish pre-production tasks) and may participate in more consultations that are complex. 
  • Provides streaming and production capability for events.
  • Equalizes and maintains audio-visual equipment during the course of events by operating equipment and making adjustments (e.g. sound) as needed to ensure appropriate quality. 
  • Program Crestron Panels and Crestron Fusion integrations, manages and supports installed audio-visual and video conference equipment by changing settings, positioning, inventory acquisition and/or replacement, etc. 
  • Provides basic streaming and production capability for events. 
  • Performs novice technical programming of industry equipment to integrate into new and existing equipment and technical systems, including modifying existing vendor code. 
  • Builds and installs audio-visual and video conference equipment. Identifies potential new equipment and considering implications and applications within the organization. 
  • Participates in audio-visual projects and upgrades by managing customer/vendor relationship; maintaining equipment; monitoring inventory, designing, installing, and programming equipment.
  • Handles technical issues requiring intermediate level understanding of existing and industry leading equipment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

 

 

Qualifications:

 

 

  • Associate’s degree in an Audio Visual/Information Technology related field or equivalent combination of education and/or work related technical experience.
  •  At least five years of general IT experience, to include installation, support, and troubleshooting equipment; experience with audio-visual systems preferred. 
  • Ability to identify and communicate basic technical issues and resolve issues through completion. 
  • Novice project management skills. 
  • General industry standard audio-visual certifications preferred (AVIXA, BiAmp, Crestron Technician). 
  • Audio video system design and installation experience preferred. 
  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Intermediate novice management skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills. 
  • Must be able to provide after-hours support.
