Advantage Tech has a client whose IT Division is currently seeking candidates for an Audio Visual Support Specialist to support and maintain audio visual technologies. The candidate will be primarily engaged with the technical support and development of production level systems from concept to completion
Sets up audio-visual equipment, including microphones, projection equipment, digital displays, and other technical industry equipment. Equalizes and maintains audio-visual equipment during the course of events by operating equipment and making adjustments (e.g. sound) as needed to ensure appropriate quality. Manages and supports installed audio-visual and video conference equipment by changing settings, positioning, inventory acquisition and/or replacement, etc. Provides basic streaming and production capability for events. Performs novice technical programming of industry equipment to integrate into new and existing equipment and technical systems, including modifying existing vendor code. Builds and installs audio-visual and video conference equipment. Identifies potential new equipment and considering implications and applications within the organization. Participates in audio-visual projects and upgrades by managing customer/vendor relationship; maintaining equipment; monitoring inventory; designing, installing, and programming equipment. Handles technical issues requiring intermediate level understanding of existing and industry leading equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.
•Associate’s degree in an Audio Visual/Information Technology related field or equivalent combination of education and/or work related technical experience.
•At least five years of general IT experience, to include installation, support, and troubleshooting equipment; experience with audio-visual systems preferred.
•Ability to identify and communicate complex technical issues and resolve issues through completion. General industry standard audio-visual certifications preferred (AVIXA, BiAmp, Crestron Technician).
•Audio visual system design and installation experience preferred.
