Director of IT Operations

Advantage Tech is searching for a Director of IT Operations to join their client's team based out of Overland Park, KS.

This is a leadership role in a growing organization, where you will have the opportunity to lead the implementation of new technologies and processes in a rapidly growing organization. 

 

Basic Function and Scope of Responsibility

The Director of IT Operations will lead, direct and execute all technology and IT operations related initiatives to support the Company’s ongoing operations and continued growth. This role requires not just technical aptitude, but a willingness to lead in a variety of areas, including communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, as well as the various departments employed by the Company. This role will serve as a key leader in the organization and will be in consistent communication with the Company’s C-Suite executives regarding overall corporate strategy, ensuring that the Company’s technology and software investments continue to scale and support overall growth. 

 

This is both a leadership and hands-on role. The Director of IT Operations will be responsible for ensuring maximum uptime, implementation and effectiveness of critical infrastructure (network, 3rd party applications, VoIP, CRM, etc.) as well as ensuring that all end-user support requests are handled in a timely and effective manner.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Collaborate with Company Leadership to ensure technology investments continue to add value to overall corporate strategy and support continued growth 

  • Serve as the technology expert in the Company, leading end-user support, IT budgeting/forecasting, developing IT policies, procedures and documentation, maintaining vendor relationships and contract negotiation, as well as compliance related initiatives (HIPAA, etc).

  • Perform routine maintenance on Company systems and monitor and troubleshoot endpoints, network, CRM, 3rd party applications and other systems as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 (five) years of experience in an IT support related role

  • Minimum of 2 (two) years of experience in an IT management role

  • Intermediate knowledge of Windows/Windows Server/Mac operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, including end-user support of these systems/applications

  • Intermediate knowledge of TCP/IP networking (DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, firewalls/switches, etc.) and VoIP telephony

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft 365 and/or Google Workspace administration

  • CRM administration experience (Salesforce, HubSpot, or industry-specific CRM)

  • Strong analytical ability and self-leadership skills

  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly growing organization
