Help Desk Support

Advantage Tech is searching for a Help Desk Support technician to join their client's team in Liberty, Mo.

Summary:

Responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to desktop and web based software. Installs software, responds to queries, isolates problem, and determines and implements solution.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide helpdesk support and resolve problems to the end user’s satisfaction
  • Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT helpdesk
  • Monitor Service Desk for tickets assigned to the queue and process first-in first-out based on priority
  • Modify configurations, utilities, software default settings, etc. for the local workstation/server
  • Utilize and maintain the helpdesk tracking software
  • Document/follow internal procedures
  • Assist with onboarding of new users
  • Install, test and configure new workstation software
  • Report issues to the Service Desk for escalation
  • Perform timely workstation and server software upgrades as required
  • Train new software users
