Information Technology Support Specialist

Job Title:  Technology Support Specialist

Advantage Tech is hiring!  We are looking for a qualified individual to join our client company based in Kansas City, Missouri.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide after-hours scheduled system maintenance and answer technical support calls.
  • Organize, modify and support organization’s computer systems, including operating systems, business applications, security tools, web servers, email systems, and user hardware.
  • Quickly resolve any system failures and troubleshoot issues.
  • Upgrade, manage and support hardware and software.
  • Research upcoming products, service protocols and standards in support of systems software procurement and development efforts.
  • Understand and apply quality principles to daily responsibilities; collaborate with others on quality objectives.
  • Collaborate with HR for staff onboarding and offboarding.
  • Utilize SpiceWorks Helpdesk Tracking System, Active Directory and Meraki MDM
  • Provide timely system and security patching of client systems.
  • Create and maintain internal support documentation.
  • Offer technical support and training for staff.
  • Lead process improvements and modifications.
  • Perform other relevant duties, as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of professional experience in a similar role
  • proven experience managing and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows 10/11 operating systems plus applications including all Office 365 Business apps
  • Support of Zoom or other video conferencing software.
  • Additional required experience includes iOS device configuration and support
  • Laptop imaging and deployment
  • Network connectivity troubleshooting
  • Active Directory user management
  • Motivation to become a subject matter expert of proprietary systems.
  • General knowledge of scripting, Group Policy, and WSUS (Windows Server Update Services) or other software patch management systems is also required.
