Infrastructure Manager

Advantage Tech is looking for an Infrastructure Manager for our Olathe, KS Client.  
The infrastructure manager ensures IT infrastructure is secure and offers consistent reliability and availability to internal and external customers to meet their business needs. The manager will plan, design and implement IT infrastructure short and long-term strategy and roadmap that aligns with the organization’s software lifecycle management roadmap, while simultaneously managing the IT team responsible for maintaining the infrastructure.

Duties and Responsibilities:
We are a Cloud first strategy organization for the purpose of bringing greater agility to the overall infrastructure and allow it to respond to business demands more rapidly. The infrastructure manager should consider cloud-based solutions as part of the infrastructure toolkit. To align with that strategy, this role has responsibility for several areas, including the following.

• Manages the staff and equipment that handles servers, switching, routing, telephony, perimeter devices (firewalls), and security administration/monitoring.
• Responsible for establishing strong partnerships with those vendors in their purview to set clear SLA expectations.
• Ensures ITIL standards and procedures are in place and followed for consistent auditability for SOC2 requirements.
• Ensures the consistent and proper use of the ServiceNow ticketing system.
• Stays current with the strategic direction of the organization as well as new technologies on the horizon. Must be able to use this knowledge to select the right technology that enables the organization to move forward.
• Ability to lay out a strategy that the CIO and other executives will understand and support.
• Develops proper metrics and monitoring for stability management and SOC2 evidence for audit purposes.
• Ensures the correct software and tools are in place to manage the infrastructure.
• In some cases, this role will manage their own project initiatives, or will work with a project manager to lead larger initiatives.
• Manages the staff and equipment that handles servers, switching, routing, telephony, perimeter devices (firewalls), and security administration/monitoring.
• Leads direct reports with an understanding of how dynamics, personalities and talents work together to build a strong team.

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional education via college coursework or business school preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in business or health care related field preferred.
Experience and Special Skills:
A minimum of 7 years’ experience managing and advancing server technologies and a server team is required, including:
• Operating systems (Win 10, 2016/2019 Server, etc.)
• Cloud first technologies and prefer experience in Azure and AWS
• Experience in both creating Azure resources as well as migrating existing platforms to Azure preferred
• Physical and virtual servers
• Storage and backups
• Disaster recovery (prefer experience using Veeam)
A minimum of 4 years’ experience managing vendors is required in the following areas:
• Negotiating access agreements
• Establishing service level agreements (SLAs)
• Ensuring contracts are in place to support the services provided by the infrastructure team A minimum of 4 years’ experience managing infrastructure projects and leading project teams is required
• Experience in business or health care related field preferred
