Project Manager (Infrastructure)

Advantage Tech is searching for a Project Manager (Infrastructure) to join their client in Kansas City, KS.
 

Position Summary:

Looking for a self-motivated Project Manager with experience leading information technology infrastructure related development projects.  This would include Data Center moves, Network projects, Server installations/upgrades, Collaboration and Voice projects, and other related software tools implementations. The successful candidate will work directly with business partners, vendors and technical teams to ensure projects are delivered within the applicable scope, budget, and schedule. They should work well within a team and use appropriate verification techniques to monitor progress. 
 
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Have working knowledge of Network, Servers, Hardware, End User/Collaboration, Voice, Security, Service Management and Software components used in Infrastructure & Operations 
  • Drive project scope definition, including hardware, software and vendor interaction on projects. 
  • Meet with stakeholders, project resources, vendors to clarify requirements of each project 
  • Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with stakeholders and team members to ensure full implementation of solutions and adoption to ensure value achievement 
  • Assist in estimating, planning and organizing resources assigned to each project 
  • Track project performance, analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals 
  • Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis 
  • Anticipate, identify and escalate risks, issues and resolution/mitigation plans 
  • Develop communication plans and ensure execution of communication plans 
  • Identify barriers to project timelines and provide options to mitigate risk to project. 
  • Lead change through influence, personal advocacy, vision and drive.  Outline resource needs and tasks to drive implementation, human change management and achieve full project benefit/value. 
  • Maintain and improve project management processes and procedures 

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in the management of IT infrastructure and service management related projects 
  • Experience leading projects using waterfall and agile methodologies 
  • Passion for quality improvement, service enhancement, cost reduction, and productivity increase of a business activity or process 
  • Advanced time management and analytical skills 
  • Excellent client-facing communication skills 
  • Hands-on experience using project management software like Microsoft Project or PlanView 

 
Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Familiarity with SmartSheet software's collaboration and time management tools 
  • Familiarity with Jira, and/or agile tracking and reporting tools 
  • PMP Certification
