Property Field Adjuster

Advantage Tech is searching for a Property Field Adjuster for a client of ours based in Columbia, MO!
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Investigate, inspect and estimate losses as claimed by insureds; includes determining contractual coverage and negotiating settlements when necessary.
• Maintain necessary reports and files to ensure prompt and efficient disposition (settlement/denial) of claims.
• Serve as liaison with agents in respective area, assisting in problem resolution and claims filing.
• Maintain advanced level of knowledge of technical procedures and company policies, procedures and philosophy.
• Serve as special “storm team” leader and/or member when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required qualifications

• A minimum of five years’ property/casualty claims adjusting experience, including the ability to accurately inspect and appraise commercial property losses.
• Thorough knowledge of commercial and personal lines coverages.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to travel as necessary.
• Ability to lift ladders, climb roofs and work in various climates.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

 
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred

• Supplemental insurance education / designations
• Computer / Microsoft proficiency
• Previous experience with inspecting and appraising auto claims
