Sr. Analyst SAP HCM Payroll & Time

Position Overview: The SAP HCM Payroll and Time Sr Analyst is responsible for the production support, maintenance and configuration of SAP Payroll and/or Time solutions and related third-party bolt-on systems.  The Sr Analyst uses their experience, knowledge and leadership skills to guide team members including 3rd party contractors. The SAP HCM Payroll and Time Sr Analyst serves as the primary point of contact for their area and reports to the SAP Support Supervisor.

Responsibilities:
• Provide customer facing application support to business process owners
• Perform and manage system configuration and incident support in SAP HCM Payroll and Time
• Provide guidance to entry level analysts and onshore/offshore 3rd party contractors
• Coordinate with vendors in support of HCM 3rd party solutions
• Gather and analyze business requirements from business process owners, document functional requirements, develop and recommend solutions and identify any potential process change impacts
• Act as a liaison between the business and ABAP developers for incident support
• Assist with service pack updates
• Optimize issue resolution by following production support procedures
• Maintain and execute support processes and procedures
• Participate in the weekly on-call rotation
• Provide meaningful metrics to guide continuous improvement
• Transition the support of new projects/enhancements from project teams
• Ensure proper communication to all levels of the organization
• Complete a variety of work assignments within structured deadlines

Qualifications:
• Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Management, Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5 + years’ experience configuration and support of SAP HCM Payroll and Time
• Strong knowledge of Payroll and Time business processes
• Working knowledge of SAP Payroll and Time integration across other SAP modules
• Knowledge of SAP Human Resources/Success Factors, Benefits and HR Master Data
• Strong communication, analytical and organizational skills
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with all levels of management
• Able to work and excel in a multi-tasked team environment
• Able to evaluate and communicate risk and escalate issues

Nice to Have:
• Knowledge of SAP Human Resources, Benefits and HR Master Data is a plus
• Working knowledge of the construction and/or mining industries a plus
• Experience working with unions is a plus
• International Payroll experience is a plus
• ESS/MSS experience is a plus
