Project Manager

Advantage Tech is searching for a solid Project Manager, to join their client’s team in De Soto, KS.

Job Summary
The IT Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of various IT projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a proven track record of successfully managing complex IT initiatives.

The IT Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to define project objectives, develop project plans, allocate resources, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. This role requires exceptional communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities to drive project success and meet business objectives.

Essential Functions

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects from initiation to closure.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders. • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets to guide project execution.
• Identify and allocate resources required for project success, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
• Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and timely completion of project tasks.
• Manage project risks, issues, and changes throughout the project lifecycle, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
• Monitor project progress, track milestones, and report on project status to stakeholders.
• Conduct regular project meetings, provide updates, and communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders.
• Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork and accountability among project team members.
• Evaluate project outcomes against predefined success criteria, identifying areas for improvement and lessons learned.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Qualifications

Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or related area or equivalent experience
• Proven experience as an IT Project Manager or similar role, with a minimum of 5 years in project management.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering results.
• PMP or equivalent project management certifications.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:
• Experience managing projects involving ERP implementations, specifically Oracle Fusion Cloud.
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, or other iterative development methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to gather and interpret relevant data to inform decision making.
• Experience working in a collaborative team environment, with a customer-centric mindset.
• Solid understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.

Environment:
• Hybrid work environment blends in-office and remote work, providing flexibility and support for employees. The manager determines in-office hours, which may be required based on project needs.
• Work hours are usually 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. but could require after hours and weekend work to complete projects on time.
• Travel as needed; up to 15%
